“Build places, not spaces.” Since 2000 I have designed, supervised and signed off public and private buildings across Sicily, starting from Mediterranean light, authentic materials and the lives of the people who use them. And I support courts, lawyers and contractors whenever a technical opinion has to hold up.
- 25+years in practice
- 35+public works across Sicily
- 350+court-appointed expert reports
- 2000first appointment as court expert, Court of Agrigento

Studio
Giovanni Spitali
An architect in Agrigento since 2000, I work along two parallel lines: public and collective buildings, from the Valley of the Temples to Lampedusa, and private homes, where interiors and landscape speak to each other through bespoke solutions.
Alongside design, expert advice for the courts and support for contractors in public tenders. The same rigour, from drawing a house to writing a report for a judge.
Building by the sea
On the coasts and islands of Sicily I work with dry stone, wind and an unforgiving light: low houses, terraces over the water and the restoration of the Gate of Europe on Lampedusa.

Public works
Since 2001 the studio has worked for municipalities, health authorities, regional bodies and consortia: healthcare, schools, public space, infrastructure and heritage. Design, works supervision, safety and final inspection, depending on the commission.
